Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 September 2026 · Sistemo Cloud private beta

1. The service

Sistemo Cloud lets you run code in isolated Firecracker microVMs via API, SDK, and dashboard (sites include sistemo.io, cloud.sistemo.io, and api.sistemo.io). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Private beta

The service is in private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific boot times, or fitness for a particular production SLA. Use for critical workloads is at your own risk during beta.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials (including API keys) secret. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the platform, fail payment obligations, or violate these Terms.

4. Prepaid billing

  • Usage is prepaid from a wallet balance. Rates are published on the pricing page and may change with notice for future usage.
  • Trial credits (e.g. signup credit and card-setup bonus) are one-time, non-transferable, and have no cash value. Abuse (multiple accounts for free credit) may result in suspension.
  • Top-ups are processed by Stripe. At €0 balance, new provisioning may be blocked and running machines stopped per product rules. After a grace period we may delete associated resources following notice.
  • Except where required by law, prepaid balances and unused credits are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Sistemo Cloud to:

  • Break the law, distribute malware, or attack third-party systems.
  • Mine cryptocurrency or run sustained high-load abuse without permission.
  • Attempt to escape isolation, scan or attack our infrastructure or other tenants.
  • Send spam, phishing, or abusive bulk traffic.
  • Resell the service in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

You are solely responsible for code and data you run in sandboxes, including third-party content and AI-generated code.

6. Isolation — no absolute warranty

We use Firecracker microVMs and host hardening to isolate workloads. No isolation technology is perfect. We do not warrant that sandboxes are immune to all attacks or that your code cannot harm systems you give it access to (e.g. via network egress you enable). Do not put secrets into a sandbox you would not entrust to untrusted code.

7. Your content & license

You retain ownership of code and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service (exec, terminal, storage you request). We do not claim ownership of your workloads.

8. Intellectual property

The Sistemo Cloud product, branding, and related materials are ours or our licensors’. Open-source components are provided under their respective licenses.

9. Disclaimer & liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) €50. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST-PROFITS DAMAGES.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the law, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means acceptance. We may suspend or end the service or your access with or without notice for beta operations, abuse, or legal reasons. You may stop using the service and delete your account when that feature is available in the dashboard.
